He was predeceased by: his mother Maude Roselene Persinger (Smothers); his wife Rose Marie Persinger; his parent Abner Persinger; and his daughters-in-law, Brenda Persinger and Kathleen Persinger.
He is survived by: his sons, Rex C. Jr. Persinger (Sarah) of Hornick and Mark L. Persinger of Hornick, Iowa; and his sister Ardis Christofferson of Onawa, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Due to Covid -19 restrictions masks are encouraged).
