He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Winch and Theresa Winch (Leclere); his wife Lois; his daughter-in-law Mary Winch; his siblings, Lyle Winch (Elizabeth), Martin Winch (Martha) and Imogene Snell (Norman); and his brother-in-law James Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Joni Kinkead of Alburnett, Merle Winch Jr. (Tammy Danger) of Manchester, Lisa Winch of Monticello and Stacey Winch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and his sisters, Novella Cunningham of Marion and Mary Goodlove (Gary) of Covington, Iowa.. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
