It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosemary Ploessl of Holy Cross, Iowa, who passed away on April 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter W. Stoffel and Alvina Stoffel (Wilwert); her husband Donald A. "Donnie" Ploessl; her sisters, Theresa Hanson (Campbell) and Joann "Joanie" Klein; and her parents-in-law, Leonard Stoffel (Agnes), Merlin Stoffel (Germaine), Francis "Rex" Stoffel (Gertrude), Arnold Stoffel, Bernard "Biff" "Bibbs" Stoffel, Jim Campbell, Jim Hanson, Raymond "Ferdie" Klein, Edwin "Eddie" Ploessl (Margaret), Laverne "Vernie" Ploessl (Rita), Alvin Ploessl, Mary "Tootie" Brimeyer, Linda Brimeyer, Mary Ploessl (Andrew Jr.), James "Jim" Ploessl, Pearl Klein (Jim), John "Sonny" Ploessl, Francis "Frank" Ploessl (Eldora), Louis Ploessl and Joseph Ploessl.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald "Ron" (Beverly "Bev" Ploessl) and Deanna Ploessl of Holy Cross; her grandsons, Daniel "Dan" (Livy), Jeffrey "Jeff", Mitchell "Mitch" (Emily Degenford), Dusty (Rachael) and David "Davey" (Lauren Connolly); her great grandchildren, Becca (Chase Breitbach), Bryce, Danielle, Paisley, Keaton, Jax, Letty Rose, Archie and Cassutt; and her parents-in-law, Andrew "Junior" Ploessl Jr., Lorene Ploessl, Marvin "Mick" Brimeyer and Jim Paisley. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family extends special thanks to the compassionate and loving staff of MercyOne Senior Care – Dyersville and Hospice of Dubuque for taking such special care of our Rosie and becoming her second family during this pandemic, especially Melissa, Mikayla, Audrey and Zoey for that last night.
In lieu of flowers, Rosemary requested any memorials be given as donations in her memory to Hospice of Dubuque, Holy Cross Church, MercyOne Senior Care Foundation, or the Holy Cross/N.
