Loretta R. Deforest Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta R. Deforest (Holy Cross, Iowa), who passed away on December 16, 2011, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Steinecke and Rosella Steinecke (Schumaker); her spouse Gail R. DeForest; her sons, Darwin and Glenn; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Raylynn; and her brother Darrell Steinecke.

She is survived by: her children, Gaylyn Conklin (Tim) and Lawayne DeForest (Jenny); and her grandchildren, Melissa Birkmeier (Eric), Cathy Hazen (Adam), Zach DeForest (Laura) and Khristina Woodford (Vern). She is also survived by two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran church or Davenport Lutheran Home.
