He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Spiese of Holstein, IA; his children, Anthony Schmidt (Judi Calhoon), Sara Cope (Roger), David Schmidt (Janet) and George Schmidt (Donna); and his brother Duane Schmidt of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
