He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Dittmer and Edna Dittmer (Groepper); his parents-in-law, Lynn and Annie Fowler; his brother Harold; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Dittmer and John Wolf.
He is survived by: his children, Kent (Cindy) of Holstein and Nancy of Clive, IA; his wife Audrey Fowler; his stepgrandsons, Jeremy Parks (Tera) and Justin Parks (Laura); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cody Ehlers (Rachel), Garrett Ehlers (Maddie), Gavin, Isabelle, Andrew, Joshua and Samuel Parks; his siblings, Carol Wolf of Waynesboro, VA and Duane; and his sister-in-law Theresa Fowler of Marquette, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
