She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Breyfogle and Ethel Breyfogle (Tolzin); her husband Thomas Petersen; her sister Verla Thompson; her brother-in-law George Thompson; her sister Audrey Schubert; her brother-in-law Harold Schubert; her brother Jack Breyfogle; her sister-in-law Kathleen Breyfogle; her sister Bonnie Wirkus; her brother-in-law Denton Wirkus; her brothers, Jerry Breyfogle and Dale Breyfogle; her sister-in-law Ellen Madsen; her sister Margaret Freed; and her brother-in-law Harold Petersen.

She is survived by: her children, Tracey Petersen Atzeni (Steve), Keith Petersen and Dr. Susan Petersen (Jon Bullman); her grandchildren, Zachary Atzeni (Danielle), Caitlin Atzeni, Mikayla, Allie and Derick Bullman; her siblings, Carol Kolberg, Jim Breyfogle (Karen), Dean Breyfogle (Cleo), Don Breyfogle (Jane) and Dennis Breyfogle (Kathy); and her sister-in-law JoAnn Breyfogle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
