He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Breyfogle and Ethel Breyfogle (Tolzin); and his siblings, Jack, Verla and Margaret.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Uittenbogaard; his children, Brian T. Breyfogle and Teresa J. Breyfogle of Sioux City, IA; and his granddaughter Gracie S. Breyfogle. He is also survived by five brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
