He is survived by: his wife Darlene Reitz of Battle Creek; his children, Nancy Hettinger (Ken) of LeMars, IA, Karen Wessling (Doug) of Holstein, IA and Jim Kistenmacher (Kris) of Holstein, IA.; his grandchildren, Ashley Den Ouden (Brent) of Maurice, IA, Shannon Jensen (Seth) of LeMars, IA, Nathan Hettinger of Hattiesburg, MS, Kirstin Schreiner (Josh) of LeMars, IA, Kyle Wessling of Holstein, IA, Kalli Lund (Tyson) of Iowa City, IA, Jonah Kistenmacher (Allison) of Holstein, IA and Anya Kistenmacher of Holstein, IA.; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Braelynn, Kylee, Brynlee Den Ouden, Nora Schreiner and Esther Kistenmacher. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Holstein or Horn Memorial Hospice.
