He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Held and Minnie Held (Stilwell); his former wife Mabel Stanley; his sister Evelyn Saunders (Stanley); his sisters-in-law, Gladys Modglin (Ralph), Stella Stanley, Edith Stanley and Betty Newton (Bob); and his great grandchild Elizabeth Ann Cotter.
He is survived by: his former wife Lois Berner (Schneider); his wife Arlene Plumer (Stusse); his children, Donna Varenhorst (Jerry), Robert Held (Janet), Bradley Held (Kris Endreson), John Held (Judy) and Diane Joanning (Todd); his grandchildren, Adam Varenhorst (Erica), Matthew Held (Lorinda Hille), Kyle Held (Amanda), Amy Reid (Jordan), Lisa Cotter (Jeremy), Ryan Held (Alicia), Eric Held, Benjimin Held (Breaunna Rogne), RaLeah Held (Kipp Strube), Braden Held (Kayla Caskey), Nathan Held and Logan Held (Hannah Andrews); and his great grandchildren, Briann, Preston, Henry, Calvin, Bobby, Laura, Gavin, Delaney, Teyla, Brody, Evelynne, Blake, Charlotte, Hoytt and Isabella. He is also survived by five step children, numerous step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
