He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Mellecker and Josephine Mellecker (Doyle); his wife Phyllis Stika; his brothers, Gerald "Stub" Mellecker and Kenneth "Red" Mellecker; and his brothers-in-law, Duane Latta and Marvin Yotty.
He is survived by: his children, Margery Pottorff (Mike), James (Vickie), David (Margaret), Julie (Paul Whitten) and Susan; his grandchildren, Scott Pottorff (Gina), Cree Pottorff (Brandy), McKenzie Mellecker, Kelly Mellecker, Chloe Butler (Paul), Lisa Mellecker (Mike Considine), Eli and Ava Vargason; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Michelle Pottorff, Caleb Gingerich and Harriet Butler; his sisters, Delores Latta and Eileen Yotty; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Mellecker and Janet Mellecker.
Memorials may be directed to Bernie's family for a designation of their choice at a later date.
