He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rudolph Silfies and Winifred Silfies (Harris); his significant other Edith Hillman; his children, William Silfies (Lee) of St. John, Michael Silfies (Missy) of LaMoille, Paula Silfies of Lisbon, Diane John and Penny Lusietto (Derek) of Ohio, Illinois; his brother Harry "Bud" Silfies of LaMoille; his sister-in-law Nancy Silfies of Warrenville; his siblings, Margaret Pippel and Robert Silfies; and his grandsons, William Joshua Silfies, John Silfies, Matthew Silfies, Nick Himes, Andrew Wiesbrock and Tony Lusietto. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren.
