We bid farewell to Wesley Hamdorf of Hiawatha, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Wesley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hamdorf and Marie Hamdorf (Stoffregen); his wife Roberta Hamdorf (Martin); and his siblings, Marge Lehrman, Marian McWilliams and Harlan Hamdorf.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Hamdorf (Karla Dennie), Darcy Magee (Kevin Pauly), Traci Egly (Steve) and Karen Kreshel (Jay); his grandchildren, Conor (Kallie Schmitt), Caitlin, Killian Magee, Spencer (Jill Griminger), Harrisen (Taylor Brown), Emerson, Audrey Egly (Matthew Schwartz), Creighton (Ashlyn Cook), Easton Kreshel, Eric (Maranda Simonette) and Ryan Pauly (Christy Elliott); his great grandchildren, Rosemary, Keira, Madelyn, Grayson, Connor, Sophia, Carlyn and Maci; his sister Carol Kurth; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Louise Vrooman, Priscilla Highland, Marilyn Smith and Bob Friday. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was Church Treasurer for almost ten years and volunteered as an usher until the pandemic.
