We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2021, at the age of 78, Shirley M. Goerg of Hiawatha, Iowa, born in Hammond, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley M. Goerg to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Liechty and Lela Liechty (Orrick); her husband Kenneth Goerg; her grandson Baby Ashley; and her brothers, Billy and Tom Liechty.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Murray of Cedar Rapids, Kim Johnson (Lisa) of Cedar Rapids, Rayna Hird (Craig) of Omaha and Ken Goerg (Jennifer) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Robert DeVenney, Jennah Goerg and Kenny Goerg; her stepgrandsons, Michael Borurdette, Matthew Borurdette and Robert Stender of Dayton, Iowa; and her pets, Missy and Jasmine.
All guests are respectfully requested to wear masks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed Dogs Forever in Cedar Rapids to support the Seniors for Seniors program.
