She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer John and LaVerne "Vera" Stanek (Bowers); her son Steven Varner; and her siblings, Carolyn Hovey, Franklin, William "Bill", Marvin "Eugene", Raymond, Albert, Alvin and Harold Stanek.
She is survived by: her children, Allen Varner (Connie) of Shellsburg, Janeva Varner (Craig Musil) of Hiawatha and Angela Varner (Bob Dobrochowski) of Hiawatha; her grandchildren, Justin Varner (Stacy Thompson), Chantel Kreutner (Scott), Nathan Varner (Kristin Laird), Heath Varner, Hannah Crowell (Adam) and Cassondra Musil (Kyler Friddle); and her brothers, Jim Stanek of Oelwein and Roger Stanek of Aurora, Iowa.. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
