He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Berg; his sons, Mike and Dan; and his parents, Benjamin Davis and Frances Davis (Sterns).

He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Davis (Kathy) of Hawkeye, Iowa and Jeffrey Davis (Pat) of Hiawatha, Iowa; his grandchildren, Izzi Byrd (Aaron), Marshall Sunnes (David), Brian Davis (Natalie) and Tara Dunford (Todd); his brother Owen Davis (Karyl); and his daughter-in-law Greta Davis of West Union, Iowa. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.
