She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Peterson and May Peterson of Popejoy; and her siblings, Jim Peterson, Mike Peterson, Nellie White and Susan Peterson.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Classon; her children, Mark Classon (Darla) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Lorrie Popik (Kevin) of Norcross, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Joe Classon of Marion, Ben James of Norcross, Georgia, Debbie Classon and Gabrielle Onarheim of Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Karen's name to be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
