She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Okland and Edith Okland; her husband Kenneth Burger; her brothers, Kenneth, Marlowe, Stanley and Leo; her stepson Terry Burger; her grandson Tim Frisch; her sister Lois Hove; her stepdaughter Teresa Frisch; her grandchildren, Chris Burger (Makaila) and Laura Ganter (Chris); and her friend Bill W.. She was also cherished by 4 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, and 1 great-great granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to the Iowa Alzheimer's Association, the Heart of Iowa program of the Area Substance Abuse Council of Cedar Rapids, the Family Caregivers Center of the Mercy Medical Center foundation of Cedar Rapids, or the Unity Center of Cedar Rapids.
