It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Mochal of Hiawatha, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Adam Mochal (Michelle) of Humble, TX, Jason Mochal of Cedar Rapids and Megan Green (Mike) of Cedar Rapids; his mother Elsiemae Mochal (Deklotz); his siblings, Becky Cooley (Don), Jim Mochal (Connie), Deb Boothe (Don), Liz Smith (Bob), Tom Mochal (Pam), Karen Mochal, Dennis Mochal (Barb), Sharon Mochal, Tracee Leeka (Matt), Rod Mochal (Julie), Amy Vega (Carlos), Shelly Bartle (Troy) and Jeff Mochal (Erika); his grandchildren, Landon, Addison, Bryson, Hayden, Ella, Jade, Logan and Lexi; his father Wayne Mochal; and his brothers, Robert Mochal and Bill Mochal. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to set up future school expenses for his grandchildren.
