It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Aaron Carothers of Hiawatha, Iowa, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Carothers and Lilian M. Carothers (Natzel); his former wife Barbara; and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Wethington and Kenneth Cable.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie May Lovell; his children, Constance Dahlin (Mark) and Dave Carothers; his grandchildren, Rachel Herman (Adam), Joshua Dahlin (Ashley), Cody Carothers (Mariah) and Brandon Carothers; his great grandchildren, Bailee, Kolbie, Jace, Cullen and Luna; and his friends, Duane and Sue Bierman.
