We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2021, at the age of 90, Carmeletta Irene Lentz of Hiawatha, Iowa, born in Viola, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Covington and Leona Covington (Gage); her husband John Lentz; and her children, Becky Coleman and John Lentz.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Bailey (Michael) of Cedar Rapids, Brad Baughman (Jerry) of Iowa City, Sandra Ignelis (Marios) of Murrieta and Lewis Lentz (Kim) of Vinton, Iowa; her grandchildren, Monica Niedert, Ryan Coleman, John Lentz, Jamie Hedges, Christian Whitmore, Michael Bailey, Alicia May, Nathan May, Alexander Ignelis, Nicholas Ignelis, Amy Lentz and Adam Lentz; her sister Ula Mae Carpenter; and her sisters-in-law, Pat Covington-Holub, Trudy Hagerty, Beverly Lentz and Sue Johnson. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
