He is survived by: his wife Connie Showman of Hedrick; his children, Paula Messer (Shannon) of Fairfield, Michael Messerschmitt (Lavada) of Martinsburg and Willy Messerschmitt (Loretta) of Martinsburg; his grandchildren, Marisha, Ashley, Erin, Cody, Kendra, Jamison, Alex and Abi; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Messerschmitt (Judy) of Hedrick, Mary Lou Conger (James) of Ollie and Joyce Davis (Dave) of Wisconsin. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
