He was predeceased by: his father David Leonard; and his father-in-law Terry Roberts. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Kathern Boies (Yearous) of Hazleton; his wife Karen Boies of Hazleton; his children, Zach Cummings-Boies of Independence, Jes Boies (Jerred) of Oelwein, Blake Boies of Hazleton and Ayden Boies of Hazleton; his grandchildren, Carter, Bronson and Audrey; his stepmother Jean Davison of Cedar Falls; and his brothers, Sean Boies (Kristin) of Cedar Rapids and Scott Boies (Brandi) of Waubeek.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home (221 N Frederick Ave, Oelwein, IA 50662). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
