He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walter Ohl and Leta Bell Ohl (Wroten); his wife Mary Louise Brown; his grandson Christopher Railsback; and his siblings, Wyona Rankin (Marshall), Velma Ohl, Ida Mae Blanchard (Robert), Donald Ohl, Martin Ohl (Marlene), Arthur Ohl, Floyd "Mike" Ohl, Ralph Ohl and Alfred Ohl.
He is survived by: his children, Lenora "Lonnie" Polok (Merlin) of Waterloo, IA, Leonard Ohl, Jr. (Amy) of Independence, IA, Lyle Ohl of Hazleton, IA and Leon Ohl (Ronda Buchtela) of Vinton, IA; and his sisters, Virginia Steen (Richard) of Waterloo, IA and Evelyn Brickman (Owen) of Harpers Ferry, IA.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
