He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Growden and Margaret Growden (Campbell); his sister Karen; and his nephew Lance Growden. He is survived by: his friend Skip; his wife Pauline "Paula" Smith of Hazleton; his children, John Growden of Oelwein and Brook Carey (Growden) of Independence; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Paityn, Maizie, Tessa Growden, Claire and Adam Carey; and his brothers, Larry and Randy Growden of Rochester, Minnesota.. He is also survived by his wife, children, and six grandchildren.
