He was predeceased by: his parents, Friedrich Failmezger and Wanda Failmezger (Beuchert); his wife Peggy; his brother Heinz Failmezger (Pat); his nephew-in-law John Beck; and his great-niece Jennifer Reeder.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Schroeder (Dana) of Asbury; his grandchildren, Sierra and Michael Schroeder of Asbury; his nieces and nephews, Fred Failmezger (Stephanie) of Peosta, Debbie Beck of Dubuque, Debbie Reeder (Steve) of Missouri, Andreas Ditter (Beate) and Torsten Ditter (Heike); and his siblings-in-law, Monica Casini of Missouri and Detlef Ditter (Monika) of Mannheim.
