He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eilts and Lizzie Eilts (Ramhorst); his wife Bernice; his sons-in-law, Henry Unruh and Terry Karr; and his grandsons, Ryan Christopher Eilts and Kenen Van Wyhe.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Unruh of Burke, Virginia, Bobby (Marialyce Eilts), Richard (Vikki Eilts), Patsy Karr of Hawarden, Iowa, Mary (Kenny Van Wyhe) and John (Lynn Eilts). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
