It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lydia Anderson of Hawarden, Iowa, who passed away on January 16, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruben Buchmann and Elfreda Buchmann (Werning); her husband Peter Anderson; her siblings, Albert, Harold Buchmann, Esther Mullinex and Ruth Wood; her grandson Jason Anderson; and her son-in-law Chuck Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Smith of Hawarden, Jim Anderson (Kristi) of Hawarden, Kathy Heuer (Wayne) of Ireton and John Anderson (Connie) of Hawarden; and her grandchildren, Stacey Schipper of Luverne, Ben Van Wyhe of Sioux City, Marc Smith (Jenny) of Hinton, Mandy Green (Rodney) of Hawarden, Melanie Anderson of Lennox, Abby Bailey (Matthew) of Sioux Falls and Matt Anderson (Makayla) of Hawarden. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Masks and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the Hawarden Senior Center or the Trinity Lutheran Church, LCMS.
