He is survived by: his mother Martha Vander Plas (Dorhout); his friend Lord; his wife Tres; his sister Karen Kooi (Elmer); and his children, Brenda Blankers (James), Julie Vander Plas (Dennis), Mary Vander Plas (Tom), Karl Vander Plas (Milani), Bradley Vander Plas (Nora) and Kristi (Randy).
