She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Johnson and Bertha Johnson (Kiel); her husband Carlyle "Swede" Dirks; her son Duane Dirks; her brothers, Merrill Johnson and Phillip Johnson; her brothers-in-law, Wendell Pearson and Robert "Bob" Hendricks; her siblings, Howard (Arlene Schulz Dirks), Mildred (Ed Burleson), Reva (Art Albright), Darrel (Neva Dirks), Myrna (Vernon Howard), Pearl (Al Eilers) and Dale Schulz; and also, Fred and Margaret.
She is survived by: her children, Roxann Dobesh, Angela Gradert (Ernest) and Steven Dirks (Amy); her sisters, Carol Pearson and Dorothy Lee Hendricks; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ann Johnson and Della Busch (Brad). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
