He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Haneklaus and Frances Haneklaus. He is survived by: his wife Susan McArthur of Hawarden, IA; his sons, William of Sioux Falls, SD, Raymond (Teresa) of Centerville, SD, Jim (Amy) of Beresford, SD and Steven of Rock Valley, IA; and his sister Susie Arens (Greg) of Chatsworth, IA.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
