Duane Meether Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Meether of Hawarden, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Duane Meether to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Meether and Elizabeth Meether (Tieden); his former wife Ada Ann Rozell; his son Matthew L. Meether; his stepchildren, Steve Boisen and Sharon K. McGuire; and his brothers, Art Meether (Marion), Marvin Meether and John Meether (Ruth).
He is survived by: his wife Lois J. Meether of Hawarden; his children, Lori A. Childs of Hudson, Iowa, Michael Meether (Ginny) of Indianola and Stuart Meether (Elizabeth) of Wichita, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Lisa Meether of Parkersburg, Iowa; and his stepson-in-law Jim McGuire. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
The family prefers memorials be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church LCMS in Hawarden or LCMS Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa.
