We bid farewell to Dolores Mae Westcott of Hawarden, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Dolores Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her mother Nina Fern Haines (Handy); her husband Russell Lee Westcott; her parent Que W. Haines; her siblings, Beverly Van Buskirk (Raymond), Nina Montgomery (Cliff), Arlene Case (John), Que Jr. Haines (Dorothy), Norman Haines (Becky), Donna Peterson (Raymond) and Carole Popken (Larry); her brother-in-law Bill Kelley; and her grandson Michael Logsdon.
She is survived by: her children, David L. Westcott (Gina) of Las Vegas, Lori A. Logsdon of Centerville, Candee K. Seidita (Tony) of Shorewood, Michelle D. Cortesio (Brian) of Box Elder and Geri A. Lapinski (Larry) of Greenfield; her sister Barbara Kelley of Hawarden; her grandchildren, Amber Westcott-Baker (Lucas), Ashlee Davis, Sara Seidita and Amanda Seidita (Alex); her stepgrandchildren, Megan Stackhouse (Andy), Paul Kaelin and Brendan Cortesio (Sara); her great grandchildren, Arli Westcott-Baker, Faye Davis, Elle Davis and Gray Davis; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Will Stackhouse, Lilly Stackhouse, Mia Cortesio and Luca Cortesio.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Porter Funeral Home - Hawarden (712 10th St, Hawarden, IA 51023). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, Dolores' family prefers memorials be directed to the Associated Church or the Two Oaks American Legion Post 254 of Hawarden.
