He was predeceased by: his parents, Laue and Gladys (Southwick); his wife Doris Lohr; his siblings, Merle, Darrell, Genevieve and Harvey; and his siblings-in-law, Donna, Mabel, Darlene, Char, Daphne, Stella, Marv, Chet, Russell, Orvil of Al, J. D. and Virgil.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Reinking (Darrell) of Johnston, Nancy Larson (Russ) of Hawarden, Tammy Horton (Robert) of Hawarden, Renee Gaul (Steve) of Hawarden and Shelly Busch (Steve) of Alton, Iowa; his grandchildren, Jesse, Jerrame, Josh, Kelly, Travis, Brandon, Derek and Tanner; his sister RoseAnn McDonald of Stephenville, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Ries of Sioux Falls, Allen Lohr of Sioux Falls and Allan Hansen of Sioux Falls; and his close friend Duane Fickbohm. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
The family prefers memorials be directed to the American Lutheran Church or St. Croix Hospice.
