It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Pavkov of Hastings, Iowa, born in Doylestown, Ohio, who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sandor Alex and Kathern Pavkov (Boss); his wife Gerrie; his children, Ruth Messinger (Jim) of Glenwood, Iowa and William "Bill" Pavkov (Ann) of Hastings, Iowa; and his brothers, Walter and Ed Pavkov. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Hastings, Iowa Fire Department.

“I walked beans for Bill when I was 13 years old he tought me how to sharpen a bean hook with a rat tail file to make it easer to cut the weeds. When I lived in Hastings we ice fished togeather and I injoyed his stories about the good old days on the fire department. Me and Bill swaped walnuts and pairs Bill had the best ugly pairs I have ever eaten. I also belonged to the same .Masonic lodge and had the honor of presenting him with his 50 year pin. Bill was great person.”
