It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rachel Keeley Porter of Harvey, Iowa, born in Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. D. Keeley and Rachel Keeley (Foraker); her husband Mel; her daughter Laura Porter-Soukup; her great grandchild Lola; her siblings, Myrtle Lucille and Robert F.; her sister-in-law Eula Mohr Keeley; her sister V. Lee Keeley; her niece Ann Marie Keeley; her nephew Harold C. Keeley; and her parents-in-law, Clyde S. Sr. and Priscilla B. Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel Keeley of Coralville and Montgomery III (Monty) of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Amy Falco (Michael), Rachel, Rebecca Porter-Adams, Sarah Hitzeroth (Joseph), Emma Soukup, Montgomery IV, Gavin and Adysen Porter; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Brody, Elijah, Theodore, Berkley, Xavier, Falco, Vivian Rae and Holly; and her brother-in-law Clyde S. Porter, Jr. (Margaret) of Arlington, TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lensing's Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Service (210 Holiday Rd, Coralville, IA 52241).
Any memorials may be directed to the Coralville Community Food Pantry, Friends of the Coralville Public Library, Jackson County Historical Society (Maquoketa), Forevermore University of Iowa Scholarship Fund, or any organization of the donor's choice.
