He was predeceased by: his mother Elsie Westphalen; his grandparents, Fred and Minnie Westphalen; his former wife Cora Soules; his son Anthony "Tony"; and his mother-in-law Hazel Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hansen of Hartley, Iowa; his children, Kathleen Ahrendsen of Omaha, Michael Westphalen (Nancy) of Omaha, Wayne Westphalen, Jr. (Jennifer) of Omaha and James Westphalen (Sheila) of Muscatine, Iowa; and his aunts, Arla Westphalen of Hartley and Dorothy Johannsen of Plano, Texas.
