He was predeceased by: his aunt Sue; and his grandparents, Jack, Leona McNeley, Clarence and Emma Steffens.

He is survived by: his parents, LeRoy M. Steffens of Hartley, IA and Sharon K. Steffens (McNeley) of Des Moines, IA; his pet Rex; and his brothers, Kirby Steffens of Osceola, IA and Pat (Teresa Steffens) of Winder, GA.
