He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Boernsen and Martha Boernsen (Recher); his sister Delores (Roger Sommers); his brother-in-law H. David Zielske; and his nephew Michael Zielske.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Morfitt; his daughter Terrie Ann (Dave Hempen); his grandsons, Trevor of Altoona, Iowa and Marcus of Altoona, Iowa; and his sister Arlene Zielske of Faribault, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the guidelines regarding COVID-19, a Graveside Service will take place at a later date.
