He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry LaVan and Lillian LaVan (Sanders); his daughter Annie; and his siblings, Shirley and Nick LaVan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda LaVan; and his children, Vince LaVan, Justin LaVan and Holly Berends. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
