He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel "Chick" Smith and Maguerite Smith (Johnson); his spouse Collene Cain; his son Randy Noel Smith; and his siblings, Evelyn and Roger Dean.
He is survived by: his son Ron Smith, Jr. of Hartford; and his grandchildren, Brandon Taylor and Jamie Renth.
