With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Velma Grissom of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, born in Marion, Iowa, who passed away on January 28, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Werner and Theresa Werner (Novak); her husband Morris (Pete); her son Maurice Grissom (Gus); her son-in-law Jerry Holmes; and her sisters, Dorothy, Marie, Edna and Mabel Rick.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Holmes of Paris and John Grissom (Joyce) of Harpers Ferry; and her brother Charles Werner (Nancy) of Independence, Iowa. She is also survived by six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
