He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hill and Bertha Hill (Cole); his son Scott Hill; his siblings, Grace Bechtel, Agnes Seitz, Betty Ronan, Walter, Johnny, Melvin, Floyd and Eddy Hill; and his son-in-law Guy Niffenegger.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Snyder Metcalf of Harpers Ferry; his daughters, Tammy Maneely (Freddie) of Cedar Rapids and Kim Niffenegger of Cedar Rapids; his daughter-in-law Vicky Hill of Shellsburg, IA; his sister Mary Moritz of Cedar Rapids; and his pet Ruby. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Harpers Ferry Fire Department or the Mississippi Valley Sportsman's Club.
