He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Scheffler and Ruth Scheffler (Krantz); his brother Joe Scheffler; his sons, James Scheffler and Tyrone Scheffler, Jr.; and his grandchild Cadie Scheffler.
He is survived by: his sons, Curt Scheffler (Cindy) of Harlan, Thomas Scheffler (Janis) of Harlan and Clint Scheffler of Irwin, IA; his former wife Karen Joan Olson; his partner Sandy Brown of Harlan, Iowa; and his siblings, Henry Scheffler (Judy) of Harlan, Iowa, Jack Scheffler (Linda) of Harlan, Iowa and Crystal Boardman (Jim) of Tennant, Iowa. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
