He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bissen and Anna Bissen (Erlbacher); his son Duane; his wife Helen Gross; his granddaughter Jennifer McDonald; his siblings, Leonard (Bernice Bissen), Francis (Marcy Bissen) and Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Linus Goblisch, LaVerne Christiansen and Tony Schiltz.
He is survived by: his children, Linda (Keith Graeve) of Branson, MO, Connie, Dennis, Nancy and Roger; and his daughter-in-law Sheryl Bissen of Grinnell, IA. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
