She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank J. Heese and Estella Heese (Weiland); her husband Zeno Blum of Joseph's Catholic Church; her son Darrell; her grandson Todd; and her siblings, Estella Rannells, Theresa Swanson, Francis Heese, Joseph Heese and Madonna Heese.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Gaul of Harlan, Iowa, Steve Blum (Marcia) of Omaha, Nebraska, Phil Blum (Janet) of Earling, Iowa, Jeff Blum (Judi) of Ames, Iowa and Pat Blum (Denise) of Freeport, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Betty Blum of Ankeny, Iowa; her sister Leona Sondag of Portsmouth, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Mary Heese of Earling, Iowa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
