She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kock and Kathryn Kock (Mau); her husband Henry Edward Walter Riessen; and her brothers, Virgil Kock and John Kock, III.

She is survived by: her sons, H. Daniel, Jackie of Avoca and Rodney (Lois) of Harlan; her granddaughters, Linda Winfree (Mark) of Oberlin and Lisa Molnar (Aaron) of Emerson, Iowa.; and her sister Lorene Thiede of Harlan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
