She was predeceased by: her mother Hester Susan Darnell (Hewitt); her husband Orvie; her father George Darnell; her parents-in-law, Nels Ejnar and Martha Christensen (Hansen); her son Michael Jon; her siblings, Donald, Delbert, Darrell Darnell, Dorothy Benson and Mildred Hull; and her brothers-in-law, Clifford and Dale Christensen.
She is survived by: her children, Kathlyn Janelle Hansen (Timothy) of Clarinda, Marilyn Mardelle Weddum of Atlantic, Evelyn Jean Madsen of Grimes, Orvie Lee "Toby" of Kimballton, Mark Eugene (Cindi) of Polk City and Thomas Kevin of Kimballton; her sisters-in-law, Mary Johnson of Council Bluffs and Joyce Christensen of Coon Rapids; and her grandchildren, Kristin Weddum, Todd Weddum (Shelli), Bradley Madsen (Jenny), Amanda Fletcher (Justin), Luke Hansen (Heather), Zach Redman and Nickolas Christensen. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
