He is survived by: his children, Lisa Neuenschwander (Jon) of Broomfield, Colorado, Jeff Schmidt (Cheryl) of Portsmouth, Iowa and Kathryn Loftin (Michael) of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Sara Lauer (Bryan), Ashley Olsen (Paul), Marissa Schmidt, Derek Schmidt, Easton Loftin and Annika Loftin; his great grandchildren, Callie, Paxton, Selah, Luca and Mercy; and his siblings, Orma Fieber of Goodwin, Michael "Mick" Schmidt of Harlan, Iowa, Joan Leinen of Earling, Iowa, Frances Bowen (Joseph) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Lu Ann Isaac of Gate City, Virginia and Gary Schmidt (Pat) of Harlan, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
