She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Ellsworth and Gwen Ellsworth (Becker); her sister Karen; her brother-in-law Charlie Hazard; and her brother Ron Ellsworth.
She is survived by: her husband Henry Scheffler of Harlan; and her children, Bill Scheffler of Harlan, Kale Scheffler (Jacie) of Harlan, Mike Scheffler (Jenny) of Harlan, Wendy Mesenbrink (John) of Ankeny, Jenny Penn (Neil) of Colorado Springs, Joseph Scheffler of Harlan and Amy Coenen (Brian) of Harlan. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy dedicated her life to teaching children and those with disabilities through Head Start, West Central and Concerned Inc. Judy loved to volunteer and was proud of her contributions to Harlan's Community Kitchen.
